Befriend the Spirit, Not the World

I, My Son, and the Holy Spirit love you. That’s why We established  a covenant with you that promises freedom from sin and all of its consequences. That’s why We desire to share with you Our authority, power, and immortality. That’s just how intimate We want our relationship with you to be. We want Our joy to be your joy.

Yet, even though some of you have said you want what We offer – walking together as friends – your actions indicate otherwise. We see you attached and responding in the way of the world’s culture: speaking crassly; accepting sexual immorality and deviancy as normal; seeking thrills from violent and indecent entertainment; ingesting drugs and drink that harm the body and mind; measuring self-value based on wealth and materialism; adopting the popular, politically-correct view that all religions are equivalent to ours.

Yes, you have made a verbal commitment to having a relationship with Us, but your heart isn’t in it. Don’t you know that when you go along with the world to get along and/or find enjoyment in the worldly things mentioned above, and more, you are turning your back on Us? Please, you’ve got to understand that you can’t have it both ways. Either you’re with Us or against Us. Being a friend of the world is turning against Us.

But listen. Though it hurts to see you as unfaithful, We’re not ready to give up on you. We continue to long for your fellowship. That’s why you can still hear the Spirit. He remains with you to help you come back and be One with Us, which can be accomplished by immersing and losing yourself in His power. That way, there isn’t interference. The direct interaction with Him, and the works from you that We desire, can then be satisfied.

Through the Spirit, We will relay to you, knowledge, instruction, and grace so that you may have the wherewithal to overcome the world. So please listen to and follow Him. At the same time, shun the world’s corruptive ways – boastful pride, lust of the flesh and eyes – and become the Spirit’s Best Friend Forever.
